The Rincon Valley School District is dedicated to providing healthy, nutritious food in our cafeterias. We are now partnering with Sodexo, where professionally trained chefs create and kid-test new recipes every day to make sure the students have fresh, delicious, and nutritious meals, including school breakfasts. Salad Bar every day! Well-nourished students perform better in the classroom. The Kid’s Way Café Colorful, bold images of fruits and vegetables greet elementary students. Sodexo chefs understand flavor profiles of young palates and create menus to match them. Whole-grain cereals with no added sugar, bagels with low-fat cream cheese, and a variety of fresh fruits may be on the menu for breakfast. Chicken nuggets with whole-grain breading, baked potatoes and offering bars with broccoli may be among the multiple entrée choices for lunch. |
Online Payments Available
With current national attention being focused on children’s health and wellness issues, Rincon Valley Union School District is excited to provide parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account at any time. This service also provides parents the ability to view your child’s account balance through a web site called MyNutrikids.com. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.
Also, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report. This history report will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a breakfast and/or lunch within the past thirty days.
To set up your account at Nutrikids, you must have your student’s ID number (available from Debbie at the front office). Then go to the MyNutrikids website to register.
