S.O.A.R. Award
The positive environment at Austin Creek is contagious. In 2010, Mr. Kellison created a new award: the S.O.A.R. Award. The S.O.A.R. Award ties in with our Hawks mascot and recognizes students for being Studious, Optimistic, Ambitious, and Responsible. Select students receive this award at the assembly on the first Monday of each month. At a recent assembly, a few parents were impressed by how the students (especially our 6th graders) cheered with enthusiasm for their peers. Hawks Rock!

Golden Ticket Award
Another new award in 2010 is the Golden Ticket. This award provides students with an opportunity to be “sent” to the Principal’s office for a reward. The Golden Ticket is a great reason to visit the office for praise, rather than the traditional, disciplinary trip to the Principal’s office.
